Like newborn photographers, there are many different types of family photographers out there. Some are more formal, they have you stand and pose. Some inside your homes, some by wood walls, etc. Then there are the family photographers who like to do more of an unposed type of sessions. Not worrying so much about having everyone look at the camera, but more so about capturing how families interact. What’s real. That’s how I shoot. We don’t overly pose, but I do direct. Expect to have the majority of your photos be of natural interactions. I will grab all the random in-between moments not everyone sees. lifestyle family sessions These take place in your home and incorporate everything about your family, using your home as the background. Emily will capture your family, just as they are, doing activities etc. These sessions are planned ahead of time to ensure an amazing experience capturing your family in the “real”. sunset family sessions Sunset sessions are shot 1 hour prior to sunset at destinations picked by Stephanie and the client. Sunset sessions last 1 hour, all the way up until the sun is gone. Sunset sessions fill early, make sure to book well in advance.
